PSS A320 Engine question??

Featured Replies

Hi. I tried PSS and iFDG merge and I'm satisfied with JM Morillo air file. I tried also P.Oliveira v10 air file, but I'm unhappy with high EGT and unrealistic Engine spool during starting, for example after N2=22% and Fuel Flow begins, N1 jumps to 60% and then slowly decreases to Idle setting of 19% of N1. Now the question. What I must change to get this IDLE setting (N1=19%), because with JM Morillo air file (also with PSS official air file) the lowest N1 is 23-24%. After that I'm going to reverse thrust.ThanksEdinP.S. I posted this question on PSS forum, but they don't provide support for merged a/c (topic locked)

The high EGT requires you to make a change in the .air file. The spool up characteristics are quite normal.

Thanks on reply.I modified air file line 540 or something like that, but after that I had unrealistic EGT, to low.For engine spool up, I think that is not normal after fuel flow, that engine accelarate to N1=60%, but I will check on real A320.Thanks againEdin

Mr Elliott, Could You be so kind to send me your air file, to check behaviour with Engine spool up. I'm using iFDG model with PSS panel.I have checked and normal parameters for idle with engines CFM56-5B is N2 approx 58.5% ie N1=19% and EGT for ambient temperature is approx 440ThanksEdinemail: [email protected]http://www.inet.hr/vegabric (PSS A320 Tutorial& Flight1 ATR72 tutorial available)
