NXGN > Tahiti X merge?

I've been combing the forums looking for a post I read some time ago by a user who did just this- merged the NXGN airport for NTAA with Aerosoft's Tahiti X. The NXGN airport is by far a closer representation of the airport, but the surrounding area and runway landclass are, frankly, appalling (ie the zero elevation change between ocean and land). 

Has anyone done a similar merge that would be willing to post steps to recreate it? Thanks.
