Active Camera problem...help

Last week I had to add a new USER to Windows XP...I had to add Me....my account again, because my original User Account was hanging up terribly. The professional advice I got was to create a "New" User and start transferring files or programs to that User. Well, it worked, but of course, many specific programs in MSFS had to be reinstalled because they weren't working properly. Everything seems to be fine except Active Camera. I've emailed them but haven't had a response yet, so I'm wondering if anybody here knows what I can do.In my old account Active Camera was REGISTERED. In my new User Account it still says Demo Mode and is Unregistered. My correct number is in there, but something is changed. I've reinstalled Active Camera, but to no avail. Any suggestions? Stan

You'll have to get a new registration number. Same happened to me when I had to reinstall XP. Believe you go into the FS9 Menu, click on ActiveCamera, goto registration and copy the numbers shown and e-mail those number to the nice folks at ActiveCamera. You should get a pretty fast response but guessing you'll probably have to wait until Monday.Best regards,JimYoung

Hi Stan,I had the same problem and it turned out that Active Camera wouldn't work with the "no CD required" file I had installed. That's the one that some are using that allows FS9 to start without the disc in the drive (revamped FS9.exe file). As soon as I went back to my original FS9.exe that needs the disc in the drive, Active Camera worked! Of course, if you don't have the "no CD required" file installed than I really don't know what the problem may be. Hope this helps! Jere

Thanks everyone...seems you need a new "authorization number". Mr.Baye from Active Camera Support heard my plea via email and perhaps this great forum, and sent me the new number today....on Father's Day! What a timely gift.Great support, Active Camera. I can't fly with out it because I love custom Wing Views.Appreciate the responses. Stan
