June 18, 200619 yr Hi All,I could use a little help if anyone can.I've been trying to set up a multiplayer session with 3 PC's at home using the MSFS multiplayer. I can get all the PC's connected fine through the router and all can see the other aircraft but when we all try to fly together the planes on all the PC's just jump around so one minute we're all close and then scattered around and back again?I've locked all the PC's frame rates the same, (as sugested in the forums here) right down to 10fps but it makes no difference.Should I be using something else instead of the MSFS multiplayer to get smooth flying?Any help would be great. Many ThanksDavid G
June 19, 200619 yr Hi,How fast is your network and your network cards? Is your anti-virus doing scans on the data flowing across your network?Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://dot.kelder.net:8080/fseconomy/
June 19, 200619 yr The default is pretty jumpy, for sure. You'll see a great improvement with FSInn or IBNet, both of which are freeware. However, there are other possible reasons why you may have problems there .... check out Jim's advice, indeed.MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a] _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
June 20, 200619 yr The router and cards are all 10/100 Mbps. I use a linksys BEFDSR41W router. I disconnect the ADSL phoneline then Firewalls and Antivirus are all off on all machines.
