June 21, 200619 yr I use RC 4.01 as ATC, and love it. It's much more interactive and real than the default ATC. However, it is somewhat generic as it needs to cover the entire world, which it does very well. I'm playing around at home with some ideas that might one day develop into an IFR training medium using FS9, that would be very specific to the area that I fly in, and would have some knowledge of local instrument procedures and be able to pronounce fixes/airports by their full name. Has anyone here done any ABL programming (I assume that is the language that is supported in FS for functions such as ATC- it used to be APLC many years ago as I recall)? I'm wondering what's required to do any programming. I have looked at the SDK, and discovered that I'm really not a computer programmer :), although I did like writing code in APLC in the past as it reminded my of the BASIC language that I played with at college years ago.Has anyone done anything like this?Thanks- Bruce.
