June 22, 200619 yr Are there any freeware voice set, so that if you are in (say) south america, that you will here a voice with an accent to match that area? I really dislike that MS just put in American accented voices. Thanks for any help.ray
June 22, 200619 yr No, and it can't be made with the current version of FS (no idea if it is possible with FSX). It simply is not possible to lock voices to specific regions or aircraft registrations.Besides this it is a huge task to record a decent sound set - hence no one has done it besides a single payware addon.
June 22, 200619 yr Author There are heaps of radio chatter sound sets for different locations available on the web. These can be run with freeware applications in the background whilst running FS9. See for example FSchatter and enviro! Even if you can't change the ATC itself (unless you buy Radar Contact) you are not stuck with inappropriate accents. Though I have to say I'm having trouble getting sound sets for New Zealand...Cheers,Noel. 11th Gen i9-11900K @ 3.5GHz | nVidia GeForce RTX 3080 | Corsair 64 GB RAM | Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB | Asus 27" RoG G-Sync Track IR5 | Thrustmaster Warthog | CH Products Pedals
