Help... CTD in San Diego area

Featured Replies

Hi all, sometime recently I began experiencing a no warning Crash to Desktop any time I try to go to ANY San Diego area airport. the sim disappears as the scenery progress bar reaches 20%.I deactivated all AI and all area addon scenery and that didnt fix. I run fsgeneses landclass and flight 1 Ground environment Render to texture IS checked So I can rule that out as well as duplicate AFCADS. Anybody got ideas on this one? Stan

I've tried everything I can think of wow this one really stumps me

HiI am not an expert or "guru" :-) . However, I did have a similar problem a very long time ago. For me, the cause was the file that draws railroads. I downloaded a different rr texture and that crashed it. I replaced it with the original and all was well. This just happened again recently. For some reason FS is really sensitive to that particular texture (at least on my system). All of the files that gave me problems have the word rail in them. They are all (.bmp)'s. If you think this may be the problem. You can get them out of the *.CAB files on your original installation disk. I cannot remember which one they are on. I hope this helps you with your problem (and does not make things worse...)Nick
