Hi All,I just rebuilt my FS9/FSX rig and am trying to activate Active Camera in FS9.I have sent my serial# numbers to the Anticyclone activation and support email addresses in multiple emails spanning the last week and have heard nothing back.does anyone know of any other means of contacting them? Hi all,I have an LCD Samsung S23B550 monitor ans a GTX560TI graphics setup.During menu progress bar loading the monitor dims, not a problem.However when I fly at night,if I am not looking directly at instrument lighting or another light source the monitor goes into a "dim" mode.Does anyone know how to stop this?

I actually reinstalled my old 9800 pro.all problems fixed,I'm talking to EVGA now trying to figure out what to do next.It seems to run OPENGL games ok, but direct3d, no go!

Merry Christmas everybody I hope you all are enjoying a great holiday season. I just upgraded from a 9800 pro to a GTX 560TI.I'm using XP 64 bit and did a clean custom install of the 306.81 drivers.(also tried 285 drivers among others) upon loading FS9....I get the splash screen,The progress bar appears.....never moves across the screen and then FS9 appears at the default starting point.All appears well until I try to enter menus.I can't get into any menus.When I press the alt. key I see a split second flash of the splash screen.If I enter windowed mode the progress bar and menus work fine, no issues at all.My FS9.CFG shows 2 display adaptors, the old and new. [DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT.0] Mode=1280x1024x32 TriLinear=1 TextureAGP=0 PanelAsTexture=0 MipBias=6 [DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti.0] Mode=1280x1024x32 I've tried deleting old card references, no help. If I delete fs9.cfg, the cfg rebuilds however all I see is a black screen with a working mouse pointer! Same thing in FSX except FSX locks up when you try to get into any menus.Call of duty 5 works beautifully and All tests pass in dxdiag.This problem only seem to affect full screen FS!.I'm hesitant to remove/reinstall FS9 due to the addons installed. (If I just remove/reinstall FS will all addons need reinstallation?)Would that be a good next step?Do any of you fine folks have any ideas on this? I'm darn near about to throw the old card back in! I just bought myself an early Christmas present.I'm upgrading my old 9800 pro to a GTX560TI.This is on a Q9550 OC'd to 3.45 with XP64 bit. Is there any particular settings or drivers you guys with the same card are having good results with?What kind of perf. or quality gains should I expect? Thanks Stan

And would I be better off with a 2GB GTX 550TI or a 1GB 560TI? is there that much difference performance wise between the 550 and 560?I'm budget limited by the way.

This has made a huge difference for me.I had hundreds of Alpha less DXT3s and WOW what a difference.What would be the better/sharper alternative to use in VCs the DXT1 or DXT3 With Alpha?

Hi guys and gals,my 32 bit XP was a bit mangled by a virus so I thought I'd upgrade to a 64 bit OS.I'm running a Q9550 on an ASUS P5Q pro with 4GB of OCZ plat. RAM with a 1GB 9800 Pro.I have a copy of XP64 pro SP1 that I had not installed due to a lack of anti virus supporting that OS.Am I better off installing that sys or spending the money and getting W7 64 pro?this maching is for running FS9 and FSX but is also used for browsing, Call of Duty etc.Will going to 64 bit give me better FS perf, less blurries smoother perf. etc?ThanksStan

Hi All, does anybody have any luck getting the Skysim DC-9 autopilot altitude hold to work?I center the vert. speed wheel and always get 100-200 FPM climbs or descents and have to constantly manage.ThanksStan

isn't there some way to totally disable the Norton for games? I can't get it to stop reloading after being shut down.Is MS Security Essentials as safe and effective as Norton?what do you recommend for a firewall as I don't see a 2 way one in the MS offering.I used to use Zone alarm but I hear that can be a hog too.Stan
