HI gang,

 

My old Celeron (Yes, it's that old) finally died, I'm just a casual FSX/FS9 simmer but hate buying off the rack. HDs, case, power supply are all fine, I'm just using this as an excuse to upgrade my MB/CPU/RAM/Video card. Suggestions to do this in the 5-700 range, please?

If your power supply is the one that came with your current system I'd be very reluctant to use it on a new system. Old power supplies tended to be less stable than modern ones, plus you'd run the risk of trashing your new components if it went down. Recycling old power supplies really is false economy (unless they're still in warranty). There's also a good chance that it won't be powerful enough for a modern system (the PSU in my oldest system is only 350W!).
