June 24, 200619 yr Hi i need some urgent help regarding flight sim 2004. I like to fly commercial routes when i use fly sim, so i always start at the gate. However lately i have repeatedly encountered the same problem. When i taxi the aircraft has a tendcy to move to the left, i can counter this by moving slightly to the right. However the more i increase the power the worse it gets!!! So when i come to take off, with full power, the aircraft banks sharply to the left and i end up doing dougnuts on the runway!!!There is nothing wrong with my joystick because i have tried it without it and still had the same problems!!! I have also tried re-installing the program but it still has no effect. Please help.....at the momment i can't really go on it because i can't take off!!!THANKS!!!
June 24, 200619 yr What aircraft are you flying? What joystick? Sounds to me like youre only getting one engine spooled up while the other is either not running at all or idle.
June 25, 200619 yr I too have noticed lately the annoyance of the "turning left" syndrome. It appeared all at once and is with any aircraft.Changing, re-setting, calibrating the different controls I have available has not helped. I simply have to dial in some right rudder to maintain control. I do not even have my realism set on high. Everything is on easy right now.Oh yeah, does not matter if single engine or many.
June 25, 200619 yr You didn't say, but it sounds like you're starting each engine in sequence. Then when you taxi, only the right engine responds to the throttle.Usually, after a multi-engine start, the engines must be resynchronized with the throttle. You do this by pressing E 1 2 in quick succession. If it's a four engine bird, press E 1 2 3 4.Let us know if this helped with your problem.Regards,JerryH
June 26, 200619 yr I would like to thank everyone that gave their useful advice to try and solve my problme!!! By synchognising the engines when they have started (pressing e+1+2) it has solved the problem. I also took the other advice of using the right rudder to counter the problem. Once again thankyou for your rapid advice!!!!!!!:-yellow1
