FMS woes

Featured Replies

I've read that this airplane doesn't have a very good fms. I'm having an issue that I honestly hope is related to the carenado fms and nothing else. I tried creating a flightplan both with default fsx and onlineflightplanner.com. The problem is the plan looks viable but when I enter it manually into the fms some of the waypoints are way off. For instance I leave kcha or Chattanooga heading to northern Michigan. One of the waypoints generated by both planners is BWG or Bowling Green, Kentucky. Perfectly normal except that the fms puts the waypoint at 5000nm or so away. Not possible as it's only 500nm to my destination. Bowling Green is not that far from Chattanooga either. Is this the planes mess up or something else? Everything else is fine in fsx or seems to be. Thanks ahead as usual. I've just been flying direct to flights because of this.

Fixed it was my goof!

It is a awful problem. I am familiar with. I wish there was a solution

I totally agree. I haven't seen one this fouled up in sometime. The fms will not follow a flightplan even though the plane appears to. It's plain silly! I have resorted to just using point a to b or direct to flights. Frustrating though, I like the plane.
