Ground Environment Professional Operational Question

Featured Replies

First off what a great addon to FS9.After setting up all of my GEP weather options, and letting the proram launch FS9, is there anything that I need do to FS9 other than selecting my flight parameters? That is there any steps under the FS9 weather options that need to set to take full advantage of the GEPs weather options?ThanksTom

GE Pro doesn't have any weather functions, it only replaces your ground and sky textures, so there is no need for you to change any fs9 settings. It only downloads the METAR so it knows which textures to use. You'll need to use either the real-time weather setting in FS9, or an external weather program to match the current METAR.-feng

Yes Feng you are absolutely correct. Although GE Pro does have an interactive weather control station, which downloads and decodes the current METAR, which then gives you the option to let GE PRO intelligently select, according to the cloud/sky condition, a matching ground and sky texture set.For example when it's overcast in KPVD, you will be able to find it through our weather control, select KPVD, select install, and GE PRO will find and install a correct ground set which has a more bluer / less contrasty / duller look and the same applies for the sky, which will have a more greyer, less focussed horizon and the brightness of the aircraft reflectivity will also be duller.below are a couple of GE PRO interface screenshots to show the steps in the order i described above.http://environments.flight1.net/example1.jpghttp://environments.flight1.net/example2.jpghttp://environments.flight1.net/example3.jpghttp://environments.flight1.net/example4.jpgWarm regards, and a happy holidayhttp://environments.flight1.net/example5.jpg
