Hi,I have Flight Sim 2004 and have donwloaded heaps of carriers..I cant seem to get the catapults working for takeoff and was wondering if anyone had arrestor Cables working ( I know its now payware.. anyone got an old version I could try out? )could somebody post alink to some instructions on how to take off with catapults and suggest some models that work with them?ThanksMark R

Hi Mark,There's no need to look for a freeware ArrestorCables for FS2004 (as far as I know, the old freeware version doesn't work in FS2004), since there are good freeware alternatives:1. The COP package, from me / Doug Dawson, available here in the library as file rcbco-20.zip.This is a gauge-based package, which should be added to each aircraft.2. A package called 3Wire by Rhys Eddy, also available here.This is an external module (works like ArrestorCables if I'm right)So take your pick.Of course, I'd like to think that mine/DOugs solution is a bit more realistic, since, a.o. (for traps) it uses the actual tailhook compression to trigger an arrest.But no doubt, there will be people with a different opinion :-)Cheers, Rob Barendregt
