Editing flight plans/ user way point help.

Recommended Posts

Help, I'm having a memory loss!!!When manually editing a flightplan ".PLN" what is the designator letter for a user waypoint. A = Airport, I = Intersection, ? = User inserted way point.To much FS must rot the brain! Either that, or I should knock back on the beer.Nathan[flightplan]AppVersion=9.1.40901title=YRED to YARMdescription=YRED, YARMtype=VFRroutetype=0cruising_altitude=8500departure_id=YRED, S27* 12.34', E153* 4.36', +000006.99departure_position=25destination_id=YARM, S30* 31.50', E151* 37.45', +003555.99departure_name=Redcliffedestination_name=Armidalewaypoint.0=, YRED, , YRED, A, S27* 12.34', E153* 4.36', +000006.99, waypoint.1=YB, BBNWA, YBBN, BBNWA, I, S27* 14.37', E152* 55.69', +000000.00,waypoint.2=YB, WIZZA, , WIZZA, I, S27* 40.38', E153* 2.92', +000000.00, waypoint.3=YB, PERSA, , PERSA, I, S27* 49.73', E152* 47.77', +000000.00,My Bit nextwaypoint.4=YB, CUNGP, , CUNGP, ?, S28* 02.58', E152* 23.21', +000000.00,Then cont'waypoint.5=YB, WCKEB, YWCK, WCKEB, I, S28* 11.38', E152* 14.12', +000000.00, waypoint.6=, YWCK, , YWCK, A, S28* 8.97', E151* 56.58', +001500.00, waypoint.7=, YSPE, , YSPE, A, S28* 37.22', E151* 59.43', +002933.99, waypoint.8=, YGLI, , YGLI, A, S29* 40.40', E151* 41.30', +003432.99, waypoint.9=, YARM, , YARM, A, S30* 31.50', E151* 37.45', +003555.99,

Silly old me, it wouldn't work because I had the YB prefix in there. The code is "I" for anyone that's interested. For anyone who is looking it up, I went to Google Earth, found the co-ordinates for my waypoint. Went to Created a flight plan. Went to My Documents then flight simulator files. Found *.pln and opened it with notepad. Then inserted the waypoint as;waypoint.#=, NAME, NAME, I, S00*00.00, E000*00.00, +000000.00The # is the waypoint sequence number (Where you want it to appear in the flight plan), you then have to change the rest. The Name, well that's up to you I keep it at 5 letters though. The I stands for Intersection. A for airport. The Coordinates. The last number is an elevation. The becon might be on a hill or the airport elevation. Of course if it's an intersection, just type all those zero's.I hope that this may help anyone looking.N
