August 6, 200619 yr It is working correctly. The needle moves ONLY based on the aircraft position relative to the localizer center. Rotating the course selector will have no effect on the localizer needle when using an ILS. In this case, the aircraft is in the center of the localizer, so the needle will stay centered no matter where you set the course selector. That is why, to insure correct spatial awareness, you should always set your course selector to the ILS localizer course for an approach. Just helps to make things easier. Paul
