FS2004 Palmdale, CA Scenery?

Featured Replies

Any idea why there is virtually no available scenery freeware or payware for this airport? It is somewhat surprizing considering the long history of this fascinating installation as it relates to military ops.

First, you posted the exact same thing word-for-word at flightsim.com.Second (and I'm trying not to be too blunt here)>Any idea why there is virtually no available scenery freeware>or payware for this airport? Probably because nobody's ever made it. Not every airport has been given a facelift by third party designers.>It is somewhat surprizing>considering the long history of this fascinating installation>as it relates to military ops.If that's the case, there are many scenery design applicaions around. Give it a shot yourself, and see what you can come up with. Let everyone know how you do.

Yes, I'm aware I posted the same thing at flightsim.com.Is that some sort of problem?

Not a problem, just don't expect an answer to identical posts on different forums. Not that many people who could help do not visit most of the main forums each day.BTW if you are looking for freeware scenery - this is the place to go - http://walhalla.mine.nu/fs2004.phpIt is extremely unlike a free scenery exists and has not been recorded on that site.

My god Andy had a rough night?...Come on man. I always post on different forums. Not a big sin is it, more chance to get an answer. Not everyone has the time you have to read all the forums...But I haven't come around any scenery for Palmdale. Why don't you try EZ-Scenery or RWY12 to enhance the default senery? All the bestRob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://fool.exler.ru/sm/fly2.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. Just downright rude! :-eek

Posting the same question on two different forums.Oh the humanity!!! The end is near. Must contact his isp and have his connection cut at once.

"Second (and I'm trying not to be too blunt here)"Well you were...geeeze..Les..I agree...Some Palmdale Scenery would be Kewl!! Have you got the Edwards Scenery by Dennis Wagster(I think)?? But yeah..AF Plant #42 would be Kewl..And maybe up the road a bit to Mojave...The home of Scaled Composites..Some Kewl stuff happening there too!! The High Desert..What an Aerospace Mecca!! Been out there a couple of times...Awesome!!Have Fun!!

Chuck,Yeah, I have to admit, Palmdale would be cool to have someone do some really detailed scenery. About 7 years ago I was out there for 2 months rebuilding a 935 Porsche racing-engine (my business before horses was Porsche racing cars), for a friend who was a helicopter pilot for the movie industry. I can remember my first morning there about 6 am, in his back yard we had snow! Couldn't believe it. Later that morning it was VERY interesting watching some of the military secret 'stuff' taking off and landing at Palmdale #2. For sure one of the more interesting times in my life in the past 10 years. Oh, and it's not a crime to post on both forums . . .I use to do it all the time. AVSIM and Flightsim.com CAN both survive in our hobby, and both have brought our hobby a long way from FS5.Best to all,Clayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T.
