Not sure if anyone from ACES has heard this request yet, but so far I love multiplayer, but I am disapointed, very disapointed actually by the fact that players have to leave the game to change aircraft. Even worse so, the host has to shut down the entire game just to change his/her aircraft. I don't know if this is just something in the beta, but this is a very annoying downside to an otherwise awesome multiplayer setup. Last night I hosted the game in Hilo with a bunch of other people including tdragger and just to switch airplanes I had to shut the game down and have everyone come back in again. If this is the way you plan on making it in retail, I guess its probably to late to change this, but again I'd really like to see this changed. If its just for the beta, my apologies.

If its just for the beta, my>apologies.I noticed that happened to you last night.When I went to change planes, I selected "End Flight" and it took me back to the "lobby" screen for the flight, and I was able to press "Change roles and aircraft" or whatever it is to get into a new airplane and go back into the game, without technically ever leaving the server. I know because I was still able to see the chat from the game in the lobby chat window. It wasn't until I clicked "leave session" that I was disconnected.Also, it was not a graceful disconnect when you left. It just dumped everyone out to the lobby. I would have liked a warning or something (not from you, Badge, but from the game itself) that the host was leaving.

Yes, this is an issue for sure. Being able to change aircraft without dropping is quite necessary I would say.
