Defending FSX In The Gamespot Forums

Featured Replies

Hey guys,The release of this demo (which I have played and realize that it's a work in progress) is getting some really bad knocks in the Gamespot forums. Of course, we knew this would happen because the demo isn't the finished product, like, say, a Battlefield 2 demo, which looked phenomenal at time of demo release. I think a lot of people don't understand that this is just a small chunk of a really big cookie that'll be done in a couple months. Any way, just want to let you know I'm trying to defend our hobby beacuse lots of folks are having a hard time with the demo because it's not up to par.Eric

I can't say that I'm terribly worried about the people who frequent the Gamespot forums.

Gamespot is the, "What no bullet time, rockets, aliens, blow stuff up, overclocking till ya melt it brag on your 3dmark score crowd.Although I would like to be able to give my fighers some teeth. BOOM

I like your comment NotASenator, very funny indeed. That being said, I just don't want brand new would-be simmers to be turned off by a demo that is no where near what the final product will produce.

The gamespot guys are used to fast engines. FSX, is far from that right now.

Who gives a flying leap what the people on the Gamespot forums think?

What is a simmer doing in the gamespot forums anyway?Any clever simmer will be d/l'ing the demo directly from the FSX page, so what the frag-fans fink is frankly futile.Allcott

That's typical of gamespot most of the people in the forums are under the age of 12.
