June 9, 200619 yr Is there any way that FSX can be coded to avoid the "Problem downloading Real World Weather" complete stoppage of the program; after the first 50 or so warning messages when the server is down/ unavailable?
June 10, 200619 yr This has already been fixed. You get a little message window but the game keeps runinng.
June 11, 200619 yr How about coding it with add-ons like activesky. FS only queries Activesky after loading the aircraft and scenery. So when i select active runway at the airport. Its not really the active runway. ATC would make me go a whole round touring the airport before i reach the active. Hope that FSX would query add-ons like activesky before loading the active.
June 11, 200619 yr Hi there, I don't have Activesky (I use FSMeteo), but when it changes the weather (after you press the fly now button), FS sorts its active runway straight away and both programs are in sync, before I taxi.As the weather changes and potentially the active, FS changes its active to. I've never had a problem.RegardsMark
June 11, 200619 yr I'm not sure if you get my idea. Lets say the runway is 03 and 21. The default active runway is 03. When i press the fly now button with activesky running. No matter what the weather is.it will always load me on 03 when i select active runway. Then when i request taxi to the active so i can contact twr. Ground taxis me to 21 when it is the active. Its kinda irritating since the active runway is actually just a default runway. just hope that the sim will put me on 21 right upon loading when its the active instead of 03.
June 11, 200619 yr Hi,For right now the fix would be to start at a gate instead of a runway. Then Active Sky can refresh the AI and ATC system and finally you will get the proper runway. Not sure how FSX will deal with this!Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter
