May 26, 200620 yr Hey Guys,I've been planning out my around the world trip for FSX and have come to find a couple of bugs in FS2004 and am wondering if it's worth making a note of them or if with the new data sources for FSX not to worry about it...As I was prepping for the trip in the FS2004 flight planner, I found that:1 - Tuxpan in Mexico seems to be located several hundred miles south east of Tepic, when it should be north north west about 60 miles...2 - Just outside of Lake Tahoe I discovered a big landclass hole, not sure if it shows in other people's systems and I'll try and replicate the problem tonight, but it seemed that about 4 cells of data were missing in a big "T" shape where only grey terrain mesh showed...I'm just wondering if these things have been noted before, and if it's even worth giving a heads up on some old FS2004 bugs that creep into future versions if the data comes from the same source...Also, I have a couple of other questions, and am wondering if the 'sunken runway pothole' syndrome at a few airports in FS has been resolved, I can understand if this is something that can't be answered right away due to NDA's and the like etc...Thanks in advance... May 26, 200620 yr How about the snowbug error anyone? Areas like KLAS for instance has snow in the winter in fs2002 and fs9. Has this been fixed in FSX? Also other parts of the world has time-zone errors in the previous versions, will this be addressed in the new version?
May 27, 200620 yr Author I hear ya on KLAS, I live here... In 3 years we've had only 3 dustings of snow, and that was stuff that basically melted before it hit the ground... What's more that's highly unusual... The other christmas though it did stick, and the city looked very pretty. That can probably be resolved though when a MegaCity Las Vegas comes out...As for the Time Zone bug, word is the team is aware of the issue, but no fix this time around, from what I understand it's because of a lack of good source data?... We can always use the bug fixes that have been posted before, hpopefully they'll run native still in FSX... Dean MountfordUltimate VFR
