Sound Filter

Featured Replies

You know what would be neat would be the ability to add a preprocessing filter to a sound. For instance, on my airplane, the audio panel has a tridirectional switch for each function, up directs it to the speaker, down directs the signal to the headphone jack, and middle is off.I'm thinking here that the preprocessor would allow the same sound to sound different depending on the switch position, up makes it harder to hear over the engines or as it would sound muffled by the headphones being on. Down would be a clearer signal as if you had headphones on and the external sounds are muffled by the virtual headphones being plugged in (but not really on my head). Or it would be off if you didn't have your virtual headphones plugged in.As an additional thought here, I'm thinking that perhaps FS could be set up to send different signals to different outputs. The external noises would go to the speakers, the headphone signals would go to the headphone jack on the pc, allowing me to wear a headphones/mic setup and get a realistic separation of sound. I'm pretty sure I've been reading about this second option being asked for for quite a while now. Sounds like it may be possible in FS11 with the new sound setup?Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)
