I wouldn't rely too heavily on the posted dates. Some games get released earlier, and some games have shipped over a year later than the initial target release date (though I doubt we will have that with FSX).

I'm not surprised with this date at all, just look back on all previous FS releases they were all roughly in the same time frame give or take a couple months.
