May 11, 20197 yr Hi Guys The highest spec video card I've owned to date, is my elderly Strix GTX 970, which I believe is slowly dying on me:-( Due to finances, I'm almost never in the market for new, current spec cards, so right now I'm still looking out for a good priced GTX 1080. My CPU is delidded and heavily overclocked (currently at 5.1), with a custom water loop, so whatever video card I end up with, will "PROBABLY" be included in the loop at some point. My question(s)... Founders cards appear to considerably cheaper. It maybe a while before I add it to the water loop. Are they MUCH noisier than custom cards and do they have any other disadvantages? Thanks Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)
