September 10, 20196 yr I videotaped this glider ride using a Sony 8MM camera, 8MM was the best video quality one could get back in the mid 80's, which replaced the bulkier VHS systems and used an FM soundtrack for enhanced stereo sound. It's a long video, it gets interesting about 12 minutes into the flight, but no spoilers here, to me though it is the epitome of the feeling I get every time I read the classic Richard Bach story, Jonathan Livingston Seagull. It also debunks the old Ford Commercials, quieter than a glider, because any glider soaring at 60-70 KIAS is as loud as the "Queen of the Skies", the 747 and the "King of the Skies", the A380...
