I have fSX acceleration sp2 installed. Have it for many years on a new pc, and it runs great.

I was feeling nostalgic for fs2004, as some of the aircraft addons for it weren't developed for fsx. (such as my favourite PSS Dash 8 from Just Flight).

So I started installing fs2004, but when disc 3 was inserted, the installation froze. I figured fs2004 is not compatible with windows 10. (on my previous pc I had windows 7 running fs2004)/

Then I started fsx, and got two mesages: 1. the scenery.cfg is missing, please reinstall fsx.  2. ditto for terrain.cfg.

OK. So I started doing that by first uninstalling some addons. Then I thought,. Is there a way to fix those messages, or do I really have to reinstall fsx from scratch?
