hello to everybody, i have a MCP COMBO 1 the original and i am desperate because i am not able to configure the rotarys knobs and i need urgent help for this. Thanks for the forum in advance

Has it worked in the past? What knob or knobs are not working? Are you using a default aircraft or another? Post screenshot of your MCP setup page or your config-mcp.lua file.

the knobs that not working are the SPD,HAD,ALT,VS CTR AND TFC AND BARO,  when trying to scroll and change the digits. previously it worked properly.

The MCP setup page is accessed by clicking on Setup MCP Combo link top right. Also include screenshot of MCP Combo (click button top left).

The config-mcp.lua files are saved for each aircraft. Look in /modules/linda-cfg/aircrafts and open FSX Default or your loaded aircraft.

I can see why your knobs are not working. You have no functions or the incorrect functions assigned to make the work correctly with the PMDG747. No accurate MCP (original) default config-mcp can be generated as none of us developers own this obsolete panel.

You need to select the MCP Combo page and assign the appropriate PMDG747 functions to each of the knobs. For example, for the SPD knob:

If you open the config-mcp2.default file (in /modules/linda-cfg/aircrafts/pmdg 747/ folder) in a text editor you can see the functions that you need to assign to make your MCP1 work. I would go through and update them all (including buttons). There is one error in the BARO1 + which should read EFIS_CPT_BARO_inc (not Altimeter_BARO_plus). 

thank you very much scotflieger for your help. i tried to do that but when i put the functions the knobs continue not working, i am sure that i am doing something wrong because i am not good at programming but dont you mind guide me to put the correct functions on the mcp in order to see it on my 747 PMDG.  i also notice that the functions i assigned dont show on my config.mcp2.default file. excuse me for my low skills and please be patient wiht me.

The .default files only provide an initial setup. Once loaded when first run any changes are saved in the corresponding config-mcpX.lua files (X is empty for MCP1, 2 for Boeing MCP2 and 2A for Airbus FCU).

Thanks scotflieger, the thing is i think i can connect LINDA with the MCP because nothing appear about LINDA in the displays of the MCP COMBO and the light of MCP COMBO doesnt flasd when connected. I am driving crazy Scotflieger because it cost me a lot the MCP COMBO and i dont want to thow it away. Could you please send me something in order to connect LINDA  and the MCP COMBO , the modules of the aicraft 747 PMDG QOTII and the drivers VRINSIGHT. Thank you and be patient please. Sorry for my english because  i am spanish.

this is what the LLINDA console says: ERROR  INIT MCP configs not found for current aircraft¡ linda-cfg./aircrafts/PMDG 747-400 config-mcp2.. i think the best solution is start from scratch.

If you have the MCP enabled in MCP Setup it expects to find the corresponding config-mcpX.LUA file where the X depends on the MCP type you have set in MCP Setup.. The error you are getting will stop LINDA LUA code from functioning. 

This file can be created the file by going to the MCP Combo page and making a single assignment and saving. Reinstalling should not be necessary.
