Anyone know if setting the FSX resolution to 1280 X 768 will give me an actual wide view or just a stretched view of 1024 x 768?What I am looking for is the front view (if in wide view) to include some of what is normally the front left and front right views. So instead of using the hat switch to see front left or front right, I would be able to see some of those quarter views via a wide screen resolution.Is that possible?Regards,SD

As far as I could tell from the demo it's just higher resolution. The only way to increase your perspective would be to zoom your view out.

With FS9, the wide resolutions are only stretched with the 2D panel. I don't think FSX uses two dimensional panels so it should widen the view without any problem
