September 20, 200619 yr Hey I am having problems with my computer. I am the system administrator and some of my software doesnt think I am. I have tried creating a new account, removing password, creating new administrator accont and still everything is the same. I get this with the ATI Catilyst control. I also get it with fs9 saying "You do not have permission to install new files on this computer. Please have an administrator log on to complete the scenery installation." yet all of my scenery changes still workplease someone helpanthony

(I have heard rumors that on XP home, MS is your sysadmin, and you have to call their support for some installs) Also, try right clicking on your FS icon, selecting "run as" and select "administrator" (NOT your account)"how do people say such ridiculous things?Anyway your problem is some registry or permissions problem. Some software, even FS9, likes to be installed by the user name that installed it. thats why your fs9.cfg file is located, not in "all users" but in your user names directory.
