September 22, 200619 yr When I use DXT3 textures on my aircraft (doesn't matter if I change them to DXT3 using imagetool.exe or if they are DXT3 by install - like this LDS livery), they look like this! I can "fix" that by zooming all the way in with +, which apparently loads high resolution mips. Even if I load highres ones, if I change back to cockpit and then after some time change back out again, I have the same lowres textures...see pic.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/157025.jpg
September 22, 200619 yr Hi,Try removing your mip maps, either with Image tool or with DXTBmp. This usually fixes it for most people. Otherwise, the zoom in technique is it.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
September 23, 200619 yr Point is that I want to have mipmaps, because that gives me nicer textures (better aliased and smoother). 32bit are not as well aliased compared to DXT3.
