Best UK landclass? (freeware or payware)

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,What is the best landclass for the UK? I have one by R.Taburet from the 'other site' which seems pretty good.Is there anything better?Does UT Europe add accurate landclass for UK?Thanks......

VFR Terrain. Adds lancclass, coastlines AND the best mesh for the UK at 19mAllcott

Subjectively and cautiously I would say that MyWorld is better than Taburet's and it covers the whole world (maybe a 70deg latitude limit...not sure). I say cautiously because I haven't actually compared the two, I just replaced it one day and seem to recally thinking that MyWorld was better. UT Europe adds the Urban and commercial landclass that is more accurate than MyWorld but not rural landclass. With an unofficial UT patch that provides a "landclass sandwich" you get the best of UT and MyWorld/Taburet (delete as appropriate).

VFR Terrain looks good, but no mention of landclass. It seems more of a coastline and mesh enhancer?I'll have a look at MyWorld......
