Hi Stephane,

did you already download the new driver from VR Insight side?

http://www.vrinsight.com/devel_shot/index.html

1. Install http://www.vrinsight.com/devel_shot/Setup/Install_VRiSim.exe

2. Install http://www.vrinsight.com/devel_shot/Setup/Install_v737_OVHD.exe

Here an installation guide: http://www.vrinsight.com/devel_shot/Manual/v737_OVHD/V737_Overhead.pdf

And did you do this:

To enable the data communication output, you will need to open the file
737NGX_Options.ini that is located in the folder <FSX
ROOT>\PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX
Once this folder is open, add the following two lines to the bottom of the
file:
[SDK]
EnableDataBroadcast=1

Best regards

Bernd

Hi Stephane-

I am having the exact same problem with Prepar3d v4, PMDG 737Ngxu and the VR OVHD pro 737 panel.

I have loaded the VRinsight base driver with the 737 panel add on driver. I run the panel installer and I don’t receive a “success” message. I turn on the panel and when I turn on the VR software the panel lights immediately go out. Is this the same behavior you see?     When I run the VR software in test mode with the switch overlay I can see the panel and all of its switches function. I have loaded the appropriate SimConnect program and edited the ini file with the enabledatabroadcast=1 line.   Still no connection.

Have you solved this issue?

Thanks

Here are the two installation directions I received from VRinsight Support:

#1

Software Installation Procedure

Please check followings,

1. Install FSUIPC 4.9xx, the latest version

2. Install Add-on aircraft software on FSX or Prepar3d

3. Install VRiSim and V737 Overhead module :

http://www.vrinsight.com/devel_shot/index.html

1) VRiSim

2) V737 Overhead

4. Run "Panel Installer" as Administrator's Privilege

Please refer to the manual below:

http://vrinsight.com/devel_shot/Manual/v737_OVHD/V737_Overhead.pdf

On "Panel Installer"

1) Select FSX folder which is,

2) Select "VRinsight Panel" to "V737 Overhead"

3) Select "Aircraft" to "Add-on aircraft"

4) Click "Install" button. Then you must see "Success" message

* Need to install 'SimConnect.msi' for PMDG 737NGX with Prepar3d v4

#2:

Please check followings,

1. Install SimConnect installation again. You can find SimConnect installer at the folder where VRinsight software is installed.

C:\\Program Files(x86)\VRinsight\bin\SimConnect.msi

2. Did you installed latest version of FSUIPC? Latest version is 4.949. You can get FSUIPC at following link,

http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html

3. Did you run Panel Installer?

Find "Panel Installer" at VRinsight software group in the "Start" menu.

4. Run FSX or Prepar3D with option "Run As Administrator"

5. Run VRiSim with option "Run As Administrator".

Regards,

VRinsight Customer Support

I performed all of these steps without success.

Salut Stéphane,

did you find the problem?  I had the same.  It was a comport conflict.  I move the Overhead from com3 to com9 and I did the config in VRIsim and it was functionnal.  I lost a lot of time on it.

Send me a message if you need assistance.

Thanks,

Benoit

Benoit-

Are you successfully using the VRinsight OVHD II 737 panel with Prepare3D v4 and PMDG 737ngxu?

I tried changing the COM port to 9 as you stated in your last reply. Did you follow all of the instructions they Vrinsight have sent out regarding this issue?

Also, if you have the OVHD II Panel, do the background switch lights go off when you start the flight simulator and then run VRSim program?

thanks for your help

@audetbe @Karlrad1 Hi, guys. Just wondering whether anyone managed to get the VRInsight 737 overhead panel to work successfully with PMDG NGXu/P3D5?

Thank you.
