New Flight Simulator Build

Featured Replies

Interested in your thoughts on the proposed build below. I've been away from P3D/FS for some time but am looking to re-start the hobby.
Bearing in mind I'm coming from an i7 3770k and GTX960 I'm hoping it'll be a nice upgrade.

Intel i9 9900KF @ 5GHz
Intel Z390 Core Edition ATX Motherboard
240MM Corsair Liquid Cooler
x2 Additional Cooling Fans
16GB DDR 4 RAM
Nvidia RTX 2060 Super 8GB
500GB SATA3 SSD
2TB HD
750W 80 Plus Gold Power Supply

This is essentially a baseline build. I'm leaving room to upgrade RAM etc i the goodness of time.

What res are you planning on running?  Should be ok for 1080p, if you are going 4K I would be looking at a better graphics card.

P3D v4.5 MSFS2020 Hisense 50" 4K TV

Ryzen 9600x 64gb DDR5 6000mhz, Asrock B650m HDV/M.2 Gigabyte 16gb 9070XT, Thermalright Aqua Elite 240mm  2TB NVMe Boot/FS2020 Drive, 2TB NVMe P3D Drive.

Ah yep, should’ve mentioned that. It’ll only be at 1080p.

That should be fine then. Only thing I would suggest, have a look at the non-super 2070, usually around the same price as the 2060 super and a bit faster

No problems. Thanks again.

I know it can be futile chasing a certain FPS, which isn’t my intention. Having said that, I’m assuming this rig will perform well in most situations. I’m also attempting to “future proof” the computer to a certain degree.
