October 12, 200619 yr Could someone post steps needed to get the Red Cessna from FS2004 working in FS-X?MS appears to have left it out in FS-X despite it being listed in the plane selection screen. I've tried a couple times to get the FS2004 version moved over with out success, just ended up with an stealth plane. If someone could post the steps needed that would be great. October 13, 200619 yr open its panel.cfg, copy every gauge file listed there from f9gauges to the actual plane's panel folder (same one where panel.cfg is). then copy the entire c172 folder from fs9aircraft to fsxsimobjectsairplanes. donenow i have question? why would you want to do that? since i flew the 172 almost exclusively in fs9, moving it over to fsx was the first thing i did... never once flew it :-)
October 13, 200619 yr Author Here's my steps, I didnt need to copy the gauges:1) Copy the FS9 c172 dir to FSx and rename it.Copy C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9Aircraft toC:FS_XSimObjectsAirplanesc172fs92) edit aircraft.cfg in the new fsx c172fs9 dirChange each title=... by adding fs9 at the end, so you dont have dup names. That's it, didnt seem to need to copy over or change anything else.As you noted the new c172s look much better in and out, but its neat to have the old familar Red 172 as an option again.
