A few minor bugs/issues

Featured Replies

I'm very satisifed with the new sim, but I wanted to address a few minor issues.1) GPS when zoomed out to 500nm actually only zooms out to about 400 nm. I like to view the progress while in flight, so I wouldn't mind correct ranges.2) Hard to set the GPS MSG to OFF, only work half the time. Some issue with the MSG button it seems.3) No taxilights visible at night - at least on my system.4) A key assignment for nav lights would be nice, not all the planes (737 etc) have a nav light switch.5) Landing lights switch in the 737 is inverted (off when on, etc, only 2d view).6) Autopilot vertical speed sometimes "sticks" when changing altitude. The VS indicator reads, say, 1800, but the actual climb is less.7) It's not a bug but... I hope some 3rd party could add night lighting to the 737 and the Airbus.-Kinetic

The Goose has the actions for the tailwheel lock reversed in 2d and VC panels. Can't get `north up` on the Garmins (haven't really looked at that yet, but if it is missing that's a serious mistake as flight instruction in these devices emphsises the different scenarios under which to use track up and north up)All default autogen objects (building trees and foliage) seem to be twice the size they should be. When you use the very high detail textures the `footprint` of buildings makes the discrepancy very obvious and the number of trees that are 200 feet tall seems a little excessive, especially now you can hover-climb up them! And one little one on the Airbus - in the VC the ILS Selector dial shows as `LS`. That's just sloppy, when its in the field of view the whole time.Allcott

When I finally checked the actual rate of climb it was 600 feet...had to crank up the VSI in the auto pilot to 2500 before I could get it to settle close to 1800, but even then it would still fluctuate...dont believe this is real life, so definitely a bugAnd for one more time the LOGBOOK need to be fixed..Bill

>>3) No taxilights visible at night - at least on my system.>I don't have FSX yet, but tried the demo on two systems and on both the taxilights were not working. I was hoping they would have fixed this in the final. Both systems had ATI videocards (9800pro and x1400). Can someone confirm wheter or not this bug is fixable?Allard.
