Reducing airport scenery complexity - increase in FPS.

Featured Replies

If you want to decrease the airport scenery complexity, set the following:AIRPORT_SCENERY_DENSITY=0In the [TrafficManager] section.Default is 2, and setting it to 0 seems to make a decent boost in FPS.Let me know how you go with it. If it's already been mentioned than I apologise.James

I fiddled around with the Airport density, but as far as I can see, its the autogen that slays any system. I have most of the sliders all the way up, including the scenery complexitis, but the only way to get half decent frames is if I have the autogen at normal or lower....Joe King

If the autogen incorporates bump mapping of any kind, that could be one of the reasons it has such a huge effect on framerates. I wonder if disabling bump mapping would alleviate the hit, if only by a bit?James

Not sure if there's anyway around that.Matt

what does it do exactly ? Does it show less buildings or something ? At mine it was at 1.

nevermind already noticed it's the airport traffic.
