Can't find the FSX.cfg

Featured Replies

I heard that I can improve the performance by amending fsx.cfgBut I can't find it, and still I can play the game?!!So where can I find it

This question has been asked (and answered) almost everyday now in this forum. I suggest you do a search for "FSX.CFG".Jozef K. http://homepages.onsnet.nu/~jkusters/signature.jpg

I tried a search when I couldn't find it myself and found nothing. But I made a new topic which would come up in a search due the title.anyway, fsx.cfg is located in yourc:/documents and settings//application data/microsoft/fsx^^ its somthing like that

... and you must make sure your Windows Folder Options are set to "Show Hidden Files and Folders" or you won't find or see anything in that directory. Also, you must have started FSX at least once for an FSX.cfg file to created and in the directory.DougDell XPS Gen3 (3.6GHz/540FSB) | 2GB DDR SDRAM | 74GB SATA, 10k RPM (C: ) | 120GB SATA (D: ) | 512MB ATI Radeon X1900XTX (Catalyst 6.9) | Audigy 2 ZS Sound | MS Force Feedback 2 | WindowsXP Pro (SP2) | DirectX 9.0c

Thanks for the tip on searching hidden files and folders. I missed that completely.
