FSX 747 wings problem

Featured Replies

I installed FSX on my system and tweaked it run as smoothly as possible. The problem I'm getting is that with the default 747 I get 2 separate wings being displayed on either side. This only happens with the 747, all other planes are OK.I've attached screenshots to show the problem. Anyone know what could be causing this to happen and how can I solve it.The other problem I get is, on any plane in virtual cockpit the panel light don't work. Panel light works in 2d cockpit mode. Again on the 747 when I flick the Panel light switch the plane turns illumines green. My system spec. AMD Athlon 2400+, 1GB ram, Creative Geforce Ti4800, Asus A7N8X Deluxe Mobo, Microsoft Force feedback 2 joystick.I know my system is quite old now, but FSX runs quite smoothly on most of the missions, except in cities, but is playable. The landing at Singapore Changi in monsoon is my favourite mission, runs very smooth and the VC is very detailed (global scenery setting maxed). I'll probably build new system in about a year after Vista and DX10 compatible cards are releasedHope someone can help.TIA

I believe you're experiencing problems due to your graphics card and/or drivers. I assume all your drivers are up to date. Also, do you have your sliders turned way down to give the card you have the chance to perform?I realize this can be frustrating but with every release its understood more hardware will be needed. Deep down I don't think we'd have it any other way :)DougDell XPS Gen3 (3.6GHz/540FSB) | 2GB DDR SDRAM | 74GB SATA, 10k RPM (C: ) | 120GB SATA (D: ) | 512MB ATI Radeon X1900XTX (Catalyst 6.9) | Audigy 2 ZS Sound | MS Force Feedback 2 | WindowsXP Pro (SP2) | DirectX 9.0c
