October 18, 200619 yr Hi everybody,I bought FSX and I am unable to get a good spot view as in FS2004.In FS2004 there was a view/view option menu to change the the SPOT PLANE VIEW from ROLL to FIXED to get a nice ( and natural ) view as most similator as FlYII, Lock on, x-plane etc. Really I don't like the FSX default spot view and I' d like to be able to change as well as FS2004. I understood it's not so easy to manage cameras in FSX using cameras.cfg. Why it is so hard to do something more friendly for all users??I hope somebody can help me to understand if there is a way to switch the default spot view in what I am searching for.I post a pic about the view option in FS2004 so you can understand better what I say. Many thanks for your kind helpGiorgio Gnesda
October 18, 200619 yr I was used to that view also. I tried changing the fixed spotview to be real fixed in the camera.cfg. But so far no luck. Too hope someone can give an easy solution.Regards, Gerrit Gerrit
October 18, 200619 yr When cycling through the views with the S key, you should see "Spot View", followed by "Locked Spot View". Locked spot is the one you want, I believe.Once in that view, use the A key to cycle through the different locked spot views (left wing, right wing, gear view, tail, etc.)For now, if you want to change the default views, or add your own views, you will have to edit the Camera.cfg or Aircraft.cfg files manually. I'm sure that someone will eventually come up with a utility to handle this for us.Regards,...jim
October 18, 200619 yr Many thanks, but I mean another camera view.In fsx I can find a "spot camera" and a "fixed spot camera" but I am searching for the camera you can see in every simulator existing:a point fixed to observer the plane but the plane free to move in front of you. It's the common spot view of every sim ( and it was in FS2004 too )I see an hard way to manage cameras but there is not the way to get a simply and common view. Many thanks anyway and best regards from ItalyGiorgio Gnesda
