Flour Bomb Blue Screen

Featured Replies

When I try and drop the flower bombs in the midwest flyin mission I get a windows stop error blue screen....Anyone with a Geforce 7950GT using the beta 92.91 drivers also having this issue? This is the first time I've tried to drop flour bombs and I've just recently upgraded to this card and figure it's probably the culprit.Any ideas?System:Conroe e66002gigs Corsair XMS2eVGA GeForce 7950GT KO

Actually I suspect it's a sound card issue. We've had a few other people report this when the bomb hits and FS queues the "splash" sound. Try removing or disabling your sound card and try the mission again. If that solves the problem I'd recommend upgrading drivers or getting new sound card.

The 92.91's are very beta. Try the 91.47's as a frsh download from the Nvidia site - they now include a profile for FSX so have been tested with it. Allcott

I got this BSOD yesterday. I'm using the 91.47 drivers on a single 7800GT. Swooped in on the target and right after I dropped the flour bomb, I got some kind of brief window outline thing in the top right, then a blue screen.I have since avoided that particular mission, but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. It has been the second BSOD since playing FSX. The other happened while I watched my plane via the tower view.I'm using the onboard sound on my A8N-SLI Premium motherboard.

Yes this is exactly what happens at the moment I drop the bomb..not upon impact so I can't imagine WHAT sound it would be caching...I get a brief smaller top-down view in the upper LEFT and then BSOD.I'm using the onboard sound on my MSI 975X Platinum.I'll check for a newer driver...Also glad I'm not the only one!

I am an avid globetrotter with my trusty Lufthansa B777F, Polar Air Cargo B744F, and Atlas Air B748F.

OK there was an updated driver (Realtek HD V1.46)for my sound card but it didn't help. At least the rest of the sim works well...I get the occasional audio studder though. Also during the Midwest Flyin mission when I change views I get a "Scenery" view that looks like a view from the lake, when I cycle past this view the terrain texture in all the rest of the views is gone and takes SECONDS to update itself again. Strange...I don't see this anywhere else!?...Thanks for any insight.
