Unable to run FSX full screen mode

When I switch to full screen (Alt-Enter), everything stops and black screen with the only the mouse. I have to close FSX via Task Manager. Using Windows 10 and GeForce 2080 video card. All system up to date.
Any thoughts as to what might be causing this?
