October 22, 200619 yr Can someone explain why the wrong activation number was placed inside of EVERY FSX BOX?What was the point? This was the first thing I was told when finally getting through to the person that could actually deal with this question! Then followed a series of "pardon what did you say" so many times I lost count because that person could not speak proper english???????Obviously he was turned down for a job at the telephone exchange or what? To top it all, I could hardly hear what he was saying because of the faulty headset he was using. On the upside, somebody with an american accent contacted me from Amsterdam and listened to my feedback yesterday so, hopefully action will be taken? October 22, 200619 yr Not every box, Dave. Mine activated fine. But this lends a lie to the argument about the `convenience` of the new Vista activation policy, the number of calls MS techsupport will receive will be an order of magnitude above the release of a game like FSX which of course activates under the `old` policy. If MS can't cope with the release of a gaming product into the market without screwing up the activation, what hope is there for reactivation of the sim AND a new OS? And FSX activation problems stop you from using the sim for more than half an hour. Not life-threatening but intensely annoying. Vista activation problems bring your computer to a virtual halt. And potentially life-threatening.Allcott
