October 23, 200619 yr Hello Gang!I feel all of your pains with FSX - it is a performance beast to tame at this moment - but remember, it is a software that appears to be waaayy ahead of a machine that can make it run decently, so patience - the quad processors are coming soon!!!!!!!!!!In a positive light, today I installed ASv6.5 with FSX. My experience shooting an ILS approach to MMMY was very interesting. For the first time since I recall simulating (20 years), I have seen the airplane be affected by winds in a realistic manner. I saw this airplane's nose react up and down, sideways, hit some turbulence, and actually see the autopilot doing it's job down to minimums. We even came in a little sideways since our headwind was about 3/4 from the 2 o'clock direction.I recall FS2002 and FS9 with ASV, that even if you had a strong crosswind, the airplane always landed straight. Yes, you would experience some swaying and movement here and there, but not realistic at all - the experience today was pleasant to say the least. Not sure how much of this had to do with ASv6.5 running the weather, but it was a nice change.Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert Sincerely, Dennis D.
