FSX goes back in the box

Featured Replies

After trying out all the tips and tweaks posted here in the last few weeks, I've managed to get a decent almost playable FSX experience. But, it's my decision to box FSX and shelve it until better DX10 hardware comes along. Offcourse I'll miss out on a few new features but I believe FSX would look heaps better with DX10 hardware. Why waste time tweaking when I could be enjoying a great FS9 experience? Just to let you know that in I appreciate all the efforts of simmers here trying to make FSX a better experience. I hope you blokes get all your ducks in a row by the time abstainees like me decide to jump in the game. Good luck!Cheers,Keith

My current POV is that FSX is for bush flying and soaring. If I feel the urge to fly the big iron, from the big airports, close to the big cities, I launch fs9. The reason is a combination of performance (or lack thereof) and the many add-ons I have installed in FS9.I'm currently moving back and fourth between the two versions as each has something the other can't offer.
