July 29, 20205 yr I have been spending a lot of time looking at this forum and I have decided that I dont think I can resolve my issue with any of the forums already out there. I have FSX with acceleration(non steam edition) When I run radar contact in the sim (after I click fly now) the window opens normally, but as soon as I try to interact with it by pressing numbers, I get "Run-time error 75, radar contact.fsuipc.rcv4code". I know one of the fixes is to run as admin, but when I run that, I get sent back to the registration (which I've previously done), when I try to put my code in, RC4 goes "not responding" and crashes a few seconds later. Ive seen suggested fixes for both of these, but everyithing ive seen hasnt worked. Ive already done reinstalled rc4 made sure i have the latest fusipc and makerunways Im quite stumped so any help would be appreciated.
July 29, 20205 yr Moderator run-time error 75 is path not found. Have you pointed RC4 to the folder where your flight plans are held? Is that path visible in the main RC interface? Also, please give version numbers of FSUIPC and MakeRunways. Ray (Cheshire, England). July 29, 20205 yr Author Yes, RC4 knows where my flight plans are. When I load a flight plan, it goes to the correct folder. I have FSUIPC 4.975 and make runways 4.1.2.0.
July 29, 20205 yr Moderator FSUIPC looks okay but I’m not sure about MakeRunways. This site has the various versions but it’s not clear which is the last version for FSX. It might be worth checking with Pete or John. https://forum.simflight.com/topic/66136-useful-additional-programs/ I’m concerned about the registration prompt when you run in admin mode. Please confirm which OS you’re running and the location of Radar Contact. Ray (Cheshire, England). July 29, 20205 yr Author I just updated makerunways to 4.9. The location of RC4 is C:\Program Files (x86)\rcv4x
July 29, 20205 yr Moderator That’s the problem I think. Windows 10 is very protective about files in that folder. Quickest fix is to install outside that area. C:\RC4 is okay. You might be able to drag and drop into C:\ as there are no Registry entries. Also move C:\RC4 but that’s just web-links etc. Ray (Cheshire, England).
