Is Force Feedback modeled into MSFS 2020?

Featured Replies

Now that were much closer to release....I have to ask again (I did many months ago), "Is Force Feedback modeled into MSFS 2020?"  I ONLY fly with my wonderful Microsoft FF2 joystick, and I've purchased many of them over the years.  Since it was discontinued by Microsoft, there is a "cult" of users for this stick.  Ebay is the only place to buy them now, and they command high prices.  If you've ever used one with Russell Dirks' famous FS Force software, then you know that it is one of the best experiences in flight sims.  You can feel every tar strip on the runway as you increase speed for a take off.  You feel the thump of the landing gear as they extend and retract.   You feel the thump of the plane landing, and depending on the quality of your landing, the thump is proportionate.  Many simmers put down FF when they tried it at first, but they never bought Dirks' software.  Force Feedback as included in the sim is awful.  It ONLY comes to life with Dirks' FS Force software.  If you used the stick with the software, you wouldn't fly with anything else.

Recently, I emailed Russel Dirks, and he IS working on software for MSFS 2020, but regrets it won't be quite ready for the upcoming launch of the sim.

What I'd like to hear from the Alpha/Beta participants is simply this:  Does the new sim allow for Force Feedback joysticks?  Please say YES!
