V sync

Featured Replies

hi guys,

trying v sync option have it enabled to cap at 60fps however i do see it slightly over like 68fps sometimes which peggs the GPU to 100%.

is it broken or am i doing something wrong?.

many thanks and happy flights.

I have exactly the same problem. GPU running very hot, and in the upper 70's fps. Setting V-sync to 60 has no effect. Might have to set v-sync in NVidia control panel until they fix it.

Yes worked like a charm. Frame rate now maxes at 60fps. GPU utilisation down from upper-90% to mid-80%, temperatures only down a little from close to 80 deg C, to low-mid 70's which is still higher than usual for my RTX 2080, but the card can handle that I guess - seems very stable.

Look for "Microsoft Flight Simulator (flightsimulator.exe)" in the Nvidia control panel. I also downloaded the latest NVidia driver version 452.06 last night, which apparently has some FS2020 optimisations. Not sure if FS2020 will be excluded from options when using an older driver as I've installed the driver before installing FS2020.
