getting back to main menu

After flying around and landing, I want to choose another aircraft and another airport without closing and reopening the flight simulator, but cant workout how to get back to the main menu screen. can someone help on how you do this.

Supposed to be pause key,home key, end or escape it's in the keyboard commands page but none of my keys work in the Sim so I have to crash to get back to the menu

I had this issue ages ago, it was because my on screen monitoring overlay nzxt was locking out the keyboard so I don't use it any more and all is well
