Repair FSX Works If

I failed to back up my world/textures files/ and I did the tweak/size compression to improve FPS. Found I could not give up the hi-res textures so did the Repair function from DVD. Found that it works for missing file not changed files. Thus a simple delete of the 6715 changed files was fixed. The process is reasonably fast. It is scary at the start since it looks like a full install will occur but eventually all it does is scan the disk for missing items. There may be exception where it will look for critical changed files and repair them. I hope the opportunity to examine that does not happen.One other note that the old FS9 manual of select from CD and copy does not seem possible since the file's names have no relationship to their content.Dick near 5G8
