FSX and Canada and Europe

Featured Replies

Although the US scenery, roads & coastlines & rivers appear to have been done quitely nicely ...Seems most all of the rivers have disappeared in Canada. I also zipped to LGSK (I like doing patterns there), this is in the Aegean Sea -- and all the coastlines are the (now) ugly FS98 sort, just a bunch of straight segments linked together.Seems like one step forward, and two back.I'm running a bleeding edge machine, nicely tuned and tweaked, most sliders to the "mid-right".Am I doing something wrong?* Orest

Unfortunatley, no you are not doing anything wrong. Welcome to the world of Navteq data. It is indeed one step forward, two steps back for much of the world outside the USA. Where it's good, it's very good, where it's bad, well...........We can only hope the Ultimate Terrain gets ported over some time soon, although I dont see why we should rely on addons to correct things that were already better in the previous version of the sim. This really is my only big complaint with FSX right now (other than mediocre performance of course), but its a big one as far as I am concerned.
