fsx will not run on my pc very well (does fine on my laptop) and i want to uninstall it.however, i find no uninstall option anywhere within the microsoft game/fsx tab of the start menu.when i try to uninstall it inside the add/remove program page of xp it starts the uninstall process and then the uninstall window just dissapears. i have left it for hours and it is still not uninstalled.any help will be appreciatedotter

try disc one in - I think you can uninstall it from there. FS9 used to take ages to start uninstalling.

Just out of curiosity why not use the add/remove programs that Windows gives you? Does this screw up the registry or something?

Run the WIndows Installer cleanup utility (there will be a FSX entry) and manually delete the FSX folder. Works for me everytime.Link:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
